Russian threat looms, war sirens ring: Jain monk predicted Ukraine invasion year ago
India Today
Months before Russia declared war on Ukraine, a Jain monk had predicted the Russian invasion in a series of Twitter posts.
Nearly two months after Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine, Russia’s neighbouring nation has been witness to relentless attacks that has left thousands dead and millions displaced. The war, which has shaken the global world order, was allegedly predicted by a Jain monk in June last year.
Jainacharya Yugbhushan Suri had called it “an acid test of the US”. In a series of posts on Twitter in June 2021, Yugbhushan Suri had called on the United States to fulfill its “promise of security” to Ukraine, warning that the Russian threat loomed over the nation.
Jainacharya Yugbhushan Suri had said. “Ukraine lost Crimea, and now it is time for Ukraine.”
He said, “Under US guardianship and security, Ukraine lost Crimea, and now it is time for Ukraine itself. With the fall of the Soviet, Ukraine was persuaded to denuclearise with the promise of security.”
“Today it is an acid test of the US to fulfil that promise as threat from Russia looms and when war sirens ring frequently,” Jainacharya Yugbhushan Suri tweeted.
