Social media influencer Kirill Tereshin, popularly known as 'Russian Popeye,’ has left his fans worried for sporting bulging muscles even after undergoing life-saving surgery on them. With 186k followers on Instagram and 9, 50,000 followers on TikTok, Kirill is no less than a social media sensation who is dubbed as 'Russian Popeye’ for his artificially-pumped up arms.
Kirill, 25, often posts videos on Instagram where he is seen flexing his giant biceps. In 2017, Kirill decided to get bigger arms with the help of permanent synthol oil injections. Not only does synthol damage muscle tissue but it also affects cardiovascular health. Synthol is made up of 85% medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil, 7.5% lidocaine, and 7.5% alcohol.
As per a report published in the Daily Star, Kirill was forced to get his enhanced triceps surgically removed. His bulging upper arms, however, is a source of concern for his followers.
Even after the corrective procedures, Kirill’s arms are seemingly suffering the side-effects of the injections as his muscles still appear extremely swollen.
“Go to the doctor before it is too late,” a user said in the comments section of one of his recent posts. Another user added, “Why would you do that to your arms? Your entire body is skinny just looks weird.”
Doctors, in fact, had warned Kirill as well, saying that he may lose his arms following which the influencer had to undergo two rounds of surgery to remove dead muscle and skin from his triceps, Daily Star reports.
"I bulked up my arms when I was 20 due to my own stupidity. I did not think about the consequences,” Kirill said, Ladbible reports.
