Meanwhile, President Zelenskyy invoked Berlin Wall in German Parliament and urged German Chancellor to tear down new Russian ‘wall’ in Europe.
Russian airstrikes hit schools, theatres, and community centres across Ukraine as Moscow’s war on Kyiv entered day 22. Russian forces bombed a theatre and swimming pool complex in Ukraine’s Marioupol where civilians were reportedly taking shelter. Mariupol council posted an image of the city’s theatre, showing it sustained heavy damage in today’s attack and said casualty numbers were being confirmed.
Following the attack, rescue efforts were on the save any survivors. According to the local media, up to 1,000 people could have been trapped inside the building.
"Today, the invaders destroyed the Drama Theatre. A place, where more than a thousand people found refuge. We will never forgive this," Mariupol local council was quoted by news agency AFP as saying.

Many children were among those taking shelter and hiding in the Mariupol theatre. Satellite images showed the word "children" in a large Russian script painted on the ground outside the red-roofed Mariupol Drama Theatre.
