‘Run for Jesus’ rally unites thousands across Telangana
Hyderabad saw a vibrant display of Christian fellowship on Saturday as the annual ‘Run for Jesus’ rally brought together participants from across Telangana and other States.
Held every year between Good Friday and Easter, the event celebrates the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ through public display of faith.
Starting at 6 a.m. on April 19, thousands of participants took to the streets on foot, motorcycles and vehicles, waving flags.
The rally was held at over 600 locations, including across Greater Hyderabad, and drew large crowds in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and even overseas.
Launched by Aradana TV in 2011, the rally has evolved from a 30-location event into a fully community-owned initiative embraced by churches across denominations.
In Hyderabad, Cardinal Poola Anthony, Bishop K. Ruben Mark, and Aradana TV chairman Bro. Paul Devapriyam Pulla participated. Each local rally concluded with worship sessions and brief Easter messages by senior pastors.
