Rs 1.25 crore unaccounted money seized at Andhra-Telangana border, one arrested

Andhra Special Enforcement Bureau seized unaccounted cash worth Rs 1.25 crore and arrested one man at the Andhra-Telangana border. He did not have proper documents for the cash he was transporting to handover to a railway contractor in Hyderabad.
In the wee hours of Thursday, March 24, the Andhra Pradesh Special Enforcement Bureau (APSEB) team recovered Rs 1.25 crores of unaccounted money and arrested one man.
Uday Kumar (25), was travelling from Rakampet in Kadapa district to Hyderabad on a private bus (Morning Star). The incident was uncovered during a routine vehicle check at the Panchalingala check post at the Andhra-Telangana border.
According to Kurnool Superintendent of Police Sudheer Kumar Reddy, the team detained Uday Kumar and seized the unaccounted money as he failed to show the relevant documents for the cash.
The cash was to be handed over to a railway contractor in Hyderabad. The police have notified the Income Tax department and further investigations are in progress.
