IPL 2022, RR vs GT: After starring in Gujarat Titans' table-topping win over Rajasthan Royals, skipper Hardik Pandya said he was enjoying captaincy as it allowed him to take responsibility and be the flag bearer.

Captain Hardik Pandya was elated after starring in Gujarat Titans' 37-run table-topping win over Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium on Thursday.

Hardik, who scored 87 not out off 52 balls, stated that he was enjoying captaincy as it allowed him to take responsibility and be the flag bearer of his team.

"Captaincy is fun and it allows me to take responsibility and be the flag-bearer. The group carries one another. My motto was I wanted everyone to be happy," Hardik Pandya told in the post-match presentation ceremony.

Hardik also cleared the air on his injury after taking himself off the attack in the 18th over following a match-winning knock against Rajasthan Royals.

The injury-prone cricketer has been doing well in all departments in his comeback tournament. He gave his fans a lot to worry about as he walked back into the dugout in the middle of his third over.

"A lot of hard work for me tonight. It was just cramps, nothing serious," he said.
