Rajasthan Royals pacer Jaydev Unadkat has acknowledged the grim situation outside the bio-bubbles of IPL 2021 due to the 2nd wave of Covid-19.
Rajasthan Royals pacer Jaydev Unadkat believes the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) must continue as planned amid the second wave of Covid-19 in the country because the tournament impacts a lot of people in different ways. Unadkat said that the coronavirus crisis is a national emergency that is affecting everyone as he also had to call a hospital and arrange a bed for one of his family members. A large section of people has been calling for halting the IPL 2021 as India continues to lead the list of countries worst hit by the pandemic. But Unadkat is not in favour of stopping the league. "First, it is a national emergency and all of us are part of it. I must say that it's not just the guys on the outside but even us who in the bubble who are affected by it. My family members got affected. I had to call a hospital and arrange a bed for one of my family members," Unadkat told Sports Today in an exclusive interview.More Related News
