An RPF constable saved an elderly man from falling from a moving train who got stuck while trying to board it at the Udupi railway station on Wednesday.
In the nick of time, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel saved the life of a 70-year-old man who got stuck while trying to board a moving train at the Udupi railway station on Wednesday.
On seeing the person falling and getting stuck on the train, the constable, Sajeer, rushed immediately and rescued the man before the train could leave the station.
The man was identified as Kuthi Kundan (70), a resident of Perdur in the Udupi district.
The entire incident was recorded on a CCTV camera installed at the railway station.
In the video, it can be seen that the man slipped accidentally while trying to board the Mumbai Express, but firmly held on to the handlebar at the door. He was dragged on the platform for a few metres before he was rescued to safety.
