After a week of refuting any communal link in the shocking murder of four people by a Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable aboard a Jaipur-Mumbai train, the railway police will add sections of the law relating to promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion to the case against him, sources have said.
The Government Railway Police (GRP), in the First Information Report, or FIR, against accused RPF Constable Chetan Singh, will add Section 153A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) which relate to promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc.
The police will inform the court today during the accused's remand, sources said.
