Royal Family shares unseen pic of Queen Elizabeth II from Platinum Jubilee celebrations ahead of funeral

The Royal Family released a never-seen-before picture of Queen Elizabeth II ahead of her state funeral today.
Ahead of Queen Elizabeth II's funeral today, the Royal Family released a portrait of the longest-serving British monarch on Monday. The picture, which is a never-seen-before portrait, was taken earlier this year during the late monarch's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The photograph was clicked at Windsor Castle in May in which Queen Elizabeth II wore a pastel blue outfit with striking aquamarine and diamond clip brooches with a pearl necklace and earrings.
"Ahead of Her Majesty The Queen’s Funeral, a new photograph has been released. It was taken this year to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, as she became the first British Monarch to reach this milestone. Tomorrow, millions will come together to commemorate her remarkable life," the caption of the post read.

According to the Daily Mail, the brooches that Queen Elizabeth II wore in the above picture were gifted to her by her father, King George VI, in April 1944.
Queen Elizabeth II breathed her last on September 8. She was 96. Her funeral is set to take place today at Westminster Abbey, London. The Royal Family members, including Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, will attend the funeral. Several dignitaries and officials from around the world will also mark their presence.
President Droupadi Murmu arrived in London on Saturday to attend the state funeral. She met King Charles III, Queen Elizabeth II’s son and her successor, at Buckingham Palace to offer her condolences.
