Black History Month, marked each February, celebrates Black Americans who have made significant impacts on society. Fredrick Douglass and Harriet Tubman are a couple of many who have made lasting differences.
Every February, the nation celebrates Black History Month by honoring the contributions and achievements of African Americans. Tubman served as an instrumental spy for the Union Army. Wells later moved to Chicago and took on a leadership role at the NAACP. Du Bois became a founding member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), America’s oldest and largest civil rights organization.
