A Rhode Island house that inspired the 2013 supernatural horror film The Conjuring has been sold for $1.5 million, which is approximately Rs 11,63,65,125. The property, which dates back to 1726, is counted among the US’ most haunted houses. Yes, you read that right.
According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Andrea Perron, who lived in the house from 1971 to 1980, says her family suffered several supernatural encounters in the home. From finding her elderly mother levitating in the air to her being slapped by an unknown entity, the family had seen it all. After learning of the events at the haunted property, famed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren volunteered to help the family.
Another duo of paranormal investigators, Jenn and Cory Heinzen, bought the Rhode Island mansion for $4,39,00, which is roughly Rs 3,40,57,620 in 2019. They listed it for sale in September 2021. The new owner of the house is now Jacqueline Nunez, a real-estate developer. “I believe the house chose Jacqueline the same way it chose us. It wants her light,” said Andrea Perron.
Jenn and Cory Heinzen took to Facebook to announce the sale of the house. “Cory and I have a special announcement to make Thursday!” reads the caption of the post.

The couple also informed that they received more than 10 offers when they listed the three-bedroom, roughly 3,100 square-foot house. “We got a lot of ridiculous bids, but the people refused to be interviewed,” said Jenn.
