
Rewarded criminal arrested for cheating home buyers on pretext of providing luxury apartments

On January 29, police received information that accused Sanjeev would be coming to the area of Sector 134, Noida.
The Crime Branch arrested Sanjeev Kumar Mavi, aged 47-years-old, for cheating more than Rs 1.75 crores from innocent home buyers on the pretext of providing luxury apartments in Delhi NCR. A reward of Rs 25,000 had been declared on his arrest in Ranhola.
On January 29, police received information that accused Sanjeev would be coming to the area of Sector 134, Noida.
A team led by Inspector Anil Sharma was constituted to nab the criminal. A trap was laid and Sanjeev was apprehended by the team.
During interrogation, Sanjeev disclosed that he and his associates cheated more than Rs 1.75 crores from innocent home buyers on the pretext of providing luxury apartments in Delhi NCR. In 2016-17, he along with Pawan Bhadana (brother-in-law) and Ravi Shukla launched various shell firms/companies.
They launched a project namely “The Willows” Luxury Apartments under a fake real estate firm named “Dreamland Promoters and Consultant Pvt Ltd.” at Crossing Republic, NH-24 Ghaziabad.
