‘Do not succumb to mental pressure but take the exam with confidence’
Deputy Leader of the Congress in the Legislative Assembly and Mangaluru MLA U.T. Khader said here on Sunday that students appearing for the SSLC examination starting Monday should respect the Government Order on dress code and write the examination without any apprehension.
Addressing presspersons, he said that all students should appear for the examination with confidence and not succumb to any mental pressure.
He said that the State Government has said that students in all government schools should follow the dress code prescribed by it and in private schools, they should adhere to the dress code advised by the management.
Mr. Khader said that educating girls should assume priority and parents should encourage it. Educational institutions should create an atmosphere under which students can take the SSLC examination without any complication, he added.
The MLA said that when the Siddaramaiah-led Congress Government was leading the State, none of the swamijis resorted to any agitation. But they are doing it under the BJP-led Government in the State. The BJP has failed to understand the feelings of the swamijis and people, he said.
He said that Mr. Siddaramaiah has great respect for all religious leaders, including swamijis. But the BJP has taken up a campaign against Mr. Siddaramaiah by twisting his recent statement on swamijis, he added.
Mr. Khader said that the BJP has resorted to a campaign to divert the attention of the people from the recent hike in fuel and cooking gas prices. The BJP-led Union Government has failed to control increasing prices, he added.
