Researchers Predict Busy 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season

The hurricane season officially begins June 1 and ends November 30.

Colorado State University has released its much-anticipated projection for the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season. 

It's going to be a busy, “above average” summer, but a little slower than last year, the report says. 

The report projects 19 named storms, nine hurricanes, and four major hurricanes. In comparison, the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season was busier, with 21 named storms, seven hurricanes and four major hurricanes.
