An Andhra Pradesh farmer reportedly found a 30-carat diamond in an agriculture field in Kurnool district. The police have launched a probe to verify.
A local farmer in Chinna Jonnagiri area of Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district has reportedly found a 30-carat diamond in his agricultural farm. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the farmer has sold the diamond to a local merchant for Rs 1.2 crore. While the news created a buzz in the area and the internet, India Today TV spoke to Kurnool’s superintendent of police to confirm it. The senior police official informed us that the reports of a farmer finding a large diamond were being confirmed. The police have launched a probe, he said. However, the police official said that incidents of people finding precious stones in the area were not unheard of. The SP said that for past several people annually gather in Kurnool district between June to November to hunt for precious stones.More Related News
