The replacement of 136 sluice gates at the Krishnaraja Sagar (KRS) reservoir across river Cauvery has been affected due to COVID-19 and restriction on the use of oxygen for industrial purposes when the second wave of the pandemic peaked during April and May. The replacement of all the gates was to be completed by June 2022, but work slowed down due to the pandemic and is likely to be completed by June 2023, said Shankare Gowda, Chief Engineer, Irrigation (South), Mysuru.More Related News
