India Today
Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ can be launched in India soon. Both are expected to be mid-range devices from Xiaomi.
Redmi has teased the India launch of Redmi Note 11 and Note 11 Pro+. The Redmi Note 11 series was first launched in China last year and was later introduced in the global market. The global variants of the Note 11 series came with different hardware and specifications. Since Xiaomi has already launched the Chinese variants in India as Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, we can expect the global variants to arrive this time.
The launch was teased by Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain through a tweet where he referred to a ‘Pro’ phone. The tweet hints at the launch of ‘2’ new smartphones as part of the Redmi Note 11 series. To recall, Xiaomi recently introduced the Redmi Note 11 and Note 11s in India which means that upcoming devices can be the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+.
Globally, Xiaomi has named these phones as Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro 5G. The latter is tipped to launch in India as the Note 11 Pro+. Both smartphones have identical features. The only major difference is in terms of the chipset used. Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, while the 4G model carries a MediaTek Helio G96 processor.
Apart from this, both the phones feature the same 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. They pack the same 5000mAh battery and support 67W fast charging. Both devices run Android 11-based MIUI 13 out of the box. They come with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
They also offer stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side mounted fingerprint scanner.
As for the camera, the Note 11 Pro+ comes with a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. The Note 11 Pro has an additional 2-megapixel depth sensor. Both the phones have 16-megapixel selfie cameras.
Redmi Note 11 Pro price starts at $299, roughly about Rs 22,400 for the base option with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The 128GB storage option costs $329 or about Rs 24,700 while the 8GB RAM variant with 128GB storage is priced at $349 or around Rs 26,300. The 5G variant costs $329 (about Rs 24,700) for the base variant.
