Realme X7 Pro will get awaited Android 11 update as early as April, Realme UI 2.0 rollout roadmap released
India Today
The new roadmap is definitely good news for fans because most of Realme’s recent phones still run on Android 10.
Realme X7 Pro made a noise when it was launched last month. It came as the first affordable 5G phone from Realme with several amazing specifications. But there was one thing that did not sit well with fans (and so did it with me). Realme X7 Pro was launched with Android 10-based Realme UI. It is old software arriving on a phone around this time, even though Realme is already rolling out Android 11 to some other phones. The wait for Android 11 software on the X7 Pro will not be long. The new roadmap for Realme UI 2.0 rollout suggests X7 Pro will be eligible for the Android 11 Early Access Programme in April. The Early Access Programme essentially makes Realme phones ready for the next Android update. This is why it is rolled out to select units initially and makes for a convenient way to initiate a wider rollout. This means that if you recently bought an X7 Pro, you will be able to register for the Early Access Programme as early as April. Remember, the Android 11 software in the Early Access Programme is not stable, which is why it should be avoided on your daily driver. The stable Android 11 build with Realme UI 2.0 skin on top will begin rolling out some days after it becomes eligible for the Early Access Programme. Realme has announced the new roadmap for the Android 11 Early Access Programme rollout. Apart from the X7 Pro earmarked for April rollout, there are several other smartphones that will become eligible under the Early Access Programme. In May, the Realme X7 and C15 Qualcomm Edition will become eligible for the programme. And while April and May will see the recent phones becoming eligible for the Early Access Programme, the maximum number of phones will be in June. Towards the middle of this year, Realme X, XT, 3 Pro, 5 Pro, and Narzo 20A will become eligible for the Android 11 Early Access Programme. And then, sometime in the third quarter of this year, the Narzo 30 Pro and Narzo 30A -- the recently launched phones -- can be enrolled for the programme.More Related News
