Realme is bringing two new phones and they are called the Realme 9 5G and Realme 9 SE 5G. Both new phones will join the Realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro Plus in completing the 9 series.
Realme 9 series is finally coming to India. The series would comprise the Realme 9 5G and the Realme 9 SE 5G, which will be the first “SE” phone in the company’s phone lineup. The Realme 9 5G will be the marquee phone in the entire Realme 9 series, which debuted earlier this year with the launch of the Realme 9i and expanded later with the addition of the Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro Plus phones.
The upcoming Realme phones may be a part of the 9 series, but their design takes a cue from the predecessor Realme 8 series phones instead. The four-hole design on the camera bump is familiar but Realme has made slight changes. For instance, the back panel has some sort of ripple holographic effect in its design. The Realme 9 SE 5G, on the other hand, will have a different camera design. Both phones will have side-mounted fingerprint sensors.
Realme has revealed that the 9 SE 5G will come with a 144Hz display, which means animations and scrolling on the phone’s screen will look super smooth. It is also something that gamers will appreciate. The 9 5G, on the other hand, may come with a lower refresh rate, which Realme has not specified yet.
As for processors, Realme said the 9 5G will use a MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor, while the 9 SE 5G will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. Both phones will have 5G. Realme has also teased 48-megapixel cameras and an 8.5mm thick body for the 9 5G series but did not specify if it is talking about one particular model or both.
While Realme will unveil the phones and their full specifications later this week, rumours have already been talking about what exactly to expect from these two upcoming phones. The Realme 9 5G may come in four colours, namely, Stargaze White, Supersonic Blue, Supersonic Black, and Meteor Black. The phone will come in 6GB RAM, 64GB storage and 8GB RAM, 128GB storage options. Accompanying the 48-megapixel camera on the Realme 9 5G may be a 2-megapixel depth-sensing camera, which will help you click portraits and a 2-megapixel macro camera for macro photography. Selfies on the Realme 9 5G could be handled by a 16-megapixel camera.
Realme will launch the Realme 9 5G and Realme 9 SE 5G smartphones in India on March 10 at 12.30 pm.
