IPL 2022, RCB vs MI: Former RCB captain Virat Kohli was furious as he slammed his bat on the ground after he was adjudged LBW on 48 in Dewald Brevis's over in their 7-wicket win over Mumbai in Pune on Saturday.
Virat Kohli missed his first fifty of IPL 2022 by a whisker as Royal Challengers Bangalore chased 152 against Mumbai Indians at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Saturday.
Just when he was looking set for the milestone, U19 World Cup star Dewald Brevis accounted for his wicket. Kohli scored 48 runs off 36 balls with five fours before getting out. Brevis bowled a googly and smashed Kohli on the pads after which the on-field umpire gave the batter out.

Kohli used the DRS, but to no avail. While walking back, Kohli also smashed his bat on the ground. By the time he got out, the Challengers were already in a commanding position. In the end, they won the game by seven wickets with nine balls left.
However, Kohli looked dejected as he vented out his frustration even as he was walking back to the Pavillion. An animated Kohli was seen entering the dressing room at the MCA.
Virat Kohli had started well against Punjab Kings with an unbeaten 41 in a high -scoring match but flopped against Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals in the subsequent matches.
