India vs Sri Lanka: Ravindra Jadeja and Irfan Pathan were involved in social media banter as the former pacer lauded the all-rounder's match-winning knock in the 2nd T20I in Dharamsala.
Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan and Ravindra Jadeja were involved in a funny banter on social media ahead of the 3rd T20I between India and Sri Lanka in Dharamsala on Sunday. While Pathan joked about Jadeja's vision when the all-rounder addressed the press conference from Saturday.
Irfan Pathan took to social media and said that Jadeja probably needs eye drops after the all-rounder was seen blinking too much while addressing the reporters in Dharamsala.
Jadeja took time to respond to the comment, saying he had worn lenses for the first time when he played the 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka in Dharamsala.
Lauding the all-rounder's effort in India's 7-wicket win, Pathan said it seemed as if Jadeja was using a binocular instead of lenses, spotting the ball clearer than most batters on display in the 2nd T20I.
Baapu needs eye drops.
Jevi rite batting chale che laage che ke binoculars pehrya che;) lage raho baapu.
Notably, Jadeja smashed 47 not out in just 19 balls as India chased down a 184-run target in just 17.1 overs. Jadeja hit 5 sixes and 2 boundaries as he tore into the Sri Lankan batting unit on Saturday. Earlier in the day, Shreyas Iyer hit 74 from just 44 balls while Sanju Samson hit 39 from 25 balls as India made light work of what looked like a steep target.
