Former fielding coach R Sridhar heaped rich praise on Ravi Shastri, saying India managed to learn a lot from their bad days during the former India captain's tenure as he head coach of the senior national men's team.

Former India fielding coach R Sridhar heaped praise on Ravi Shastri, saying the ex-India coach was an outstanding man manager. Sridhar, who spent 7 years in the Indian dressing room, called his stint as the best phase of his life, adding that India, under Shastri's tenure, harnessed bad days and learnt from them.

Sridhar was an integral part of the Team India coaching set-up headed by Ravi Shastri. Having not played international cricket, Sridhar eased into the senior men's national team's dressing room and played a vital role in helping India evolve into one of the finest fielding sides going around.
