Ravi Rana calls off protest outside Matoshree citing PM Modi’s Mumbai visit

Maharashtra MLA Ravi Ranan announced that they are taking back the planned protest outside CM Uddhav Thackeray’s residence, Matoshree, in view of PM Modi’s Mumbai visit.
Maharashtra Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ravi Rana has reportedly called off the protest citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mumbai visit. Ravi Rana and his wife independent Member of Parliament (MP) Navneet Rana had threatened to chant Hanuman Chalisa outside Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray’s residence, Matoshree.
Security was beefed up outside Maharashtra CM’s residence after the MP-MLA couple announced plans to chant Hanuman Chalisa outside Matoshree.

Earlier this morning, Shiv Sena workers protested outside the residence of Amravati MP Navneet Rana in Mumbai and broke barricades. The Sena workers also threatened the Ranas with dire consequences if they chanted Hanuman Chalisa outside Matoshree.
However, on Saturday afternoon, Ravi Rana announced that they are calling off the protest in view of PM Modi’s visit.
PM Modi is scheduled to attend the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Awards Ceremony in Mumbai on Sunday evening where he will receive the first Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award.
