It is now confirmed that Rashmika Mandanna will play the female lead in South superstar Vijay’s Thalapathy 66. This will mark their first on-screen pairing. Rumours had it that Pooja Hegde and Kiara Advani were also considered to play the female lead. However, Rashmika has been finally roped in. The film might see the light of the day on Diwali 2022 or Sankranti 2023. Thalapathy 66 is jointly bankrolled by Dil Raju and Shirish of Sri Venkateswara Creations.
