A rare, snake-like fish that is able to breathe air and slither across the ground has been caught in Missouri. Officials advise calling authorities if you come across this species.
Fisheries biologists with the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) confirmed the catch occurred on May 25 in Wayne County, according to a recent press release. Sydney Borchers is a lifestyle production assistant with Fox News Digital.
The predatory fish has a head that resembles a snake and a body that could grow up to 3 feet in length with a "python-like coloration and pattern."
