Rape convict throws slippers at Gujarat judge after being awarded life term

After being awarded a life sentence in a rape-murder case, a convict threw slippers at a judge in Gujarat's Surat.

Upset over being awarded a life sentence, a 27-year-old convict in a rape-murder case threw his slippers at the judge in Gujarat's Surat.

The convict, Sujit Saket, was granted a life sentence for the rape and murder of a five-year-old girl last April. Sujit had lured the girl with chocolates and then raped and killed her.
