Rangers eyeing top college free agent in Quinnipiac’s Collin Graf
NY Post
The Rangers are in on arguably the top college free agent.
Quinnipiac junior Collin Graf has caught the attention of the Blueshirts front office at 4 Penn, The Post has learned.
The Bobcats’ leading scorer, who has posted 48 points in 22 games this season, is naturally drawing a lot of interest around the NHL as he wraps up his collegiate career — and the Rangers have been one of several teams keeping tabs on the right wing/center.
Graf, who is a strong candidate for the Hobey Baker Award this season, played an integral role in Quinnipiac capturing its first national championship last year.
The Massachusetts native memorably assisted on the game-winning goal in the national semifinal before he scored the game-tying goal with 2:47 left in regulation to force overtime in the championship game.
Recording points in 32 of Quinnipiac’s 41 games last season, Graf not only matched the program’s Division 1 record with 59 points but also tied for the NCAA lead with 38 assists.
