Less than 20 days for Brahmastra to release and cinephiles are waiting with bated breath to see if the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt-starrer can finally save Bollywood. Promotions of the film have slowly started taking place. Recently, Ranbir, Alia and filmmaker Ayan Mukerji participated in a YouTube Live where the trio spoke about their upcoming film, the spaced-out promotions and more. While talking about the film’s non-aggressive promotions, a comment made by Ranbir for pregnant Alia didn’t go down well with netizens.
Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and filmmaker Ayan Mukerji recently huddled for a YouTube Live as a part of Brahmastra promotions. Several clips from the interview have gone viral. The trio spoke about their upcoming film and said why they aren’t promoting the film aggressively. Mom-to-be Alia replied, “We will promote the film, and we will be everywhere but if the question you are asking is why we are not phailod everywhere, right now our focus is..."Ranbir then pointed at his wife’s baby bump and said, "Well I can say somebody has phailod." Alia and Ayan look surprised at Ranbir’s joke. This didn’t go down well with netizens who trolled Ranbir on Twitter.
This particular clip of Ranbir Kapoor using the word ‘phailod’ for mom-to-be Alia Bhatt is a viral Reddit clip. Netizens took to the comment section and wrote, “My ex was like this. He would say things about my weight and personality and try to pass them off as jokes. Alia should run far away from him (sic)”, “Even my ex did the same thing. I wasn't too fat but still I was taking baby steps towards my weight loss journey. He said he wouldn't introduce me officially to his family if I do not lose a certain amount of weight. Recently we bumped into each other and first thing he asked me was how much do i weigh (sic)”, “The worst part is that some fangirls are calling this GOALS.
