Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are finally getting married. But we have proof that their wedding was planned at least a year ago.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's wedding fever has taken over. Social media is abuzz with minute details of their wedding - from their reception venue to the kind of flowers being selected to decorate their homes. Yes, the wedding is happening on April 15 as per our sources. But no, it wasn't a sudden decision on Ranbir and Alia's part. In fact, we have proof that the wedding was planned at least a year in advance. Read on:
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been dating for about five years since they started working in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra together. Fans of RaAlia have seen their love blossom into something beautiful over these years. Staring from Alia's first post about Ranbir to Ranbir practically declaring his love for Alia on stage, we've seen it all. Now, we cannot wait to see pictures of them as man and wife. But, let us tell you that, even though some might feel the decision to get married was sudden, the wedding was in fact planned at least a year in advance. And the proof lies in Ranbir's custom-made gift for Alia.
IndiaToday.in exclusively told you that Ranbir’s gift for wife-to-be Alia is a custom-made wedding band with 8 diamonds encrusted on it. For those unaware, 8 is Ranbir Kapoor’s lucky number. Ranbir had it specially made by an international brand, Van Cleef and Arpels. A close friend of Ranbir informed us that the Barfi actor had ordered the custom-made ring at the brand's London store through a friend. And, Ranbir had in fact hand-picked the diamonds for Alia.
Now, a custom-made ring from Van Cleef and Arpels, a favourite with many celebrities, takes about 9 months to make. So, it is evident that Ranbir had placed the order at least 9 months ago, if not more. Clearly, getting married wasn't a quick decision then. Ranbir had meticulously planned it, and his token of love for Alia stands as proof.
Remember when Ranbir had candidly admitted that Alia and he would have been married if Covid-19 hadn't played spoilsport? "It would’ve been sealed had the pandemic not hit our lives. I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick-mark that goal very soon in my life," Ranbir had said. And that's another proof that Ranbir was shaadi-ready since 2020, but had to wait only because of the global pandemic.
During the promotions of Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia made headlines when she admitted that she is married to Ranbir Kapoor in her head, and we were floored! "In my head, I am married to Ranbir for years now," Alia had said. Isn't that just adorable?
Well, people. Ranbir and Alia had been giving not-so-subtle hints that they were slowly walking towards the altar for a while now. We simply had to look harder.
