Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra will have a special screening on September 8 for fans. Read to know the former’s special connection to number 8.
Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy is all set to release this week. The movie, directed by Ayan Mukerji, took over five years to make. Brahmastra WILL hit the theatres on September 9. Before that, on September 8, a special screening was arranged for the fans. It is no secret that '8' happens to be Ranbir's lucky number. This has been reiterated by both Ranbir and Alia Bhatt multiple times.
In a new video shared, Alia, Ranbir and Ayan are seen sharing a glimpse of their first private screening of Brahmastra with the crew. During the same time, the team announced that they would be hosting a special fan screening on September 8 as it is also Ranbir’s favourite number. Ayan shared, “The way we wanted to put out the movie was to experience and watch it with the audience it is meant for. So, On September 8, a day prior to its release, we have decided” Ranbir continued, “We have decided to host a special fan screening on September 8, which is also my lucky number.”
This isn’t enough, the film’s new trailer too has number 8 references in it. In case, if you have missed the scene starring Ranbir and Alia where he is trying to save her from the fire, a closer look will show an infinity sign, astra, being used, which depicts the number 8 as well.
If we go through the trailer, the combination of all the astras and the dark energy trying to acquire them equals to a total of 8 elements, which again makes for an interesting ‘8’ reference.
For those unaware, Ranbir has always made sure to have the number 8 reference in all his endeavours. From his cars to his football jersey, the number 8 is always attached to the actor. Alia has also been seen flaunting the number on her jersey or her Instagram bio.
Brahmastra is the first film in the trilogy. The film is backed by Disney and Dharma Productions and is one of the most ambitious projects of all times with a budget crossing Rs 350 crore.
