Aryan Khan has finally gotten a clean chit in the drug case. In any exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, Ram Gopal Varma reacted to the update.
Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son, has finally been given a clean chit by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the drug case after eight months. Aryan was given a clean chit due to lack of evidence, as per a statement by NCB Officer Sanjay Kumar Singh. Earlier, when Aryan was arrested in October, many within the industry had risen to take a stand for Aryan. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma spoke to IndiaToday.in reacting to the update.
RGV shared that he feels the only good thing about the case is that it cast highlight on inefficiency of agencies. "The only good thing which came about in the Aryan Khan case is it being a celebrity's son case. It helped in vastly exposing the inefficiency and recklessness of various agencies subjecting innocent people to harassment which otherwise the common people can’t and won’t know of,” Ram Gopal Varma told IndiaToday.in in a statement.
In October 2021, Aryan was accused of possessing drugs, after which he was arrested and kept in jail for almost three weeks. NCB had earlier accused Aryan of possessing drugs with his bail plea being denied for the longest time.
Aryan Khan was recently spotted in Ooty on the sets of Archies. Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, among others will be seen making their debut with the Indian adaption of the popular comic. Archies will premiere on Netflix.
