Rajya Sabha polls: RLP to back Subhash Chandra, says won’t vote for Congress or BJP

The Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) said it would support independent candidate Subhash Chandra in the Rajya Sabha polls in Rajasthan, adding that it would not vote for the BJP or Congress.
Hanuman Beniwal-led Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) has officially announced its support for independent candidate Subhash Chandra ahead of the Rajya Sabha election in Rajasthan.
“In the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections the three MLAs of @RLPIndiaOrg will neither vote for the BJP nor for the Congress and, respecting the dignity of the democracy, will vote in support of Independent candidate shree @subhashchandra,” RLP founder and Member of Parliament Hanuman Beniwal stated.

The BJP had already earlier announced its decision to back Subhash Chandra for a Rajya Sabha seat from Rajasthan.
Meanwhile, the BJP has nominated veteran leader Ghanshyam Tiwari as its own candidate for the Rajya Sabha. Tiwari had earlier quit the saffron party after his open rift with former chief minister Vasundhara Raje.
