YSRCP MP V. Vijaya Sai Reddy resigns from Rajya Sabha, cites personal reasons, expresses gratitude to party leaders.
Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar accepted YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MP V. Vijaya Sai Reddy’s resignation on Saturday.
Mr. Vijaya Sai Reddy stated on social media platform ‘X‘ that Mr. Dhankhar was pleased to accept his resignation with immediate effect and duly record the proceedings.
In another message on the social media platform, Mr. Vijaya Sai Reddy said that he was not joining any political party and his resignation was not to attain any post or position, benefit, or monetary gain.
“The decision is entirely personal. There is no pressure, coercion or undue influence on me. I will forever be indebted to Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy family, who had supported me for four decades and across three generations, he stated.
He expressed his gratitude to YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for giving him the opportunity to serve as a member of the Rajya Sabha member twice, and to Y.S. Bharati for helping him reach new heights in politics.
“I might have had political differences with the TDP but there are no personal issues with N. Chandrababu Naidu and his family. My friendship with Pawan Kalyan is forever,” he said, adding that his focus would be on agriculture in the future.
In response to all these issues, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has launched a series of initiatives aimed at addressing the root causes of conflict. Among them is a campaign to promote animal rights awareness in schools and campaigns for the wider public. As part of this effort, BBMP has also finetuned its animal grievance helpline and is setting up animal rescue centres across the city. These centres are the first of their kind in Karnataka.
