Raju Srivastava needs a miracle, says fellow comedian Ahsaan Qureshi. Raju suffered a heart attack on August 10.
Prayers and get-well-soon wishes are pouring in for Raju Srivastava from across the country. The popular comedian suffered a massive heart attack on August 10 and since then has been in the ICU on ventilator. His condition had improved but suddenly declined yesterday, August 18. Popular comedian Ahsaan Qureshi shared a health update and revealed that all Raju's friends are chanting Hanuman Chalisa for him.
Ahsaan Qureshi, speaking to Pinkvilla, said that now they are waiting for a miracle to happen, as even doctors have given up. He said, “Doctors have given up. They've told the family that they could do whatever possible to save him, and now only a miracle can save him. The news about his death is untrue, the doctors have said that his brain is dead. His condition is very critical. We all friends are praying and chanted Hanuman Chalisa a few minutes ago.”
Ahsaan Qureshi met Raju during The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, and have remained friends ever since.
During an exclusive conversation with AajTak.in, comedian Ahsaan Qureshi said, "I last met him at the office opposite Oshiwara Police Station. He has an office in the Marigold Building. Whenever he used to come to Lucknow, he used to drink coffee with friends. I, Sunil Pal, met him and enquired about how to apply for the subsidy for films.
He further shared, "Raju's daughter (Antara) is to get married and his son is quite young. We are praying for his recovery. The man who has made the world laugh, now the whole world is praying for his well being. We are all worried and are set to reach Delhi by evening. We just want Raju bhai to recover."
Raju Srivastava is a popular comedian who has been a part of several comedy shows. Srivastava was a part of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Comedy Circus, The Kapil Sharma Show, Shaktimaan and others. The comedian also featured in Bollywood films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Tezaab, Baazigar and more. He was recently seen as a special guest on India's Laughter Champion.
