Assuming that a medical team had arrived to vaccinate people, villagers in Jhalawar district of Rajasthan district fled their homes. A senior official said they will counsel villagers and explain the benefits of vaccination to dispel the myths.
India plans to vaccinate its adult population of 900 million by the end of 2021. This ambitious goal, however, faces a challenge of vaccine hesitancy among certain sections of the population. While several in India scramble to get vaccinated against Covid-19, reports have emerged from several parts of the country where people have evaded shots due to unfounded rumours that vaccines can lead to serious side-effects like impotency and serious diseases.More Related News
