Rajasthan: PIL seeks govt to pay Rs 5 lakh to patients of black fungus

A division bench of Justice Sabina and Justice MK Vyas was hearing a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by advocate Siddhartha Jain, seeking to know what preparations the state government has made to tackle black fungus.
The Rajasthan High Court on Tuesday issued a notice to the state government based on a petition seeking Rs 5 lakh for the patients of mucormycosis or black fungus. The court has asked the government to submit its reply by June 28. "Black fungus damages organs of patients. I have asked what compensation has the government decided to provide such patients. A compensation of 5,00,000 rupees from the state government has been sought for patients suffering from black fungus," Siddhartha Jain, Petitioner advocate, mentioned.More Related News
