Rajasthan govt school student Class 1-8 to get milk twice a week

Rajasthan government school students in Class 1 to Class 8 will be provided milk twice a week.
Students from Class 1 to Class 8 in Rajasthan government schools will now be given milk twice a week. As per an official statement, the government is hopeful that this initiative will cause the nutritional level of children to rise in addition to also increasing their enrolment and attendance in government schools.
Students in Classes 1 to 8 will be receiving milk for two days a week under the 'Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana', as announced by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in the budget.
The 'Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana' is going to be implemented in government schools, madrassas, and special training centers associated with the mid-day meal scheme.
Under the Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana, around 69.21 lakh students studying in the government schools will be given milk which is prepared from milk powder on Tuesdays and Fridays, according to Additional Chief Secretary (Education) Pawan Kumar Goyal.
In case these days are on holiday, milk will be provided to students on the next academic day.
Additional Chief Secretary (Education) Pawan Kumar Goyal further informed that students in Class 1 to Class 5 will get 150 ml of milk, and students in Class 6 to Class 8 will receive 200 ml of milk.
The additional chief secretary further informed that milk would be obtained from Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation.
