
Raised by grandmother and uncles, Bihar's CBSE Class 10 topper bags 497/500 without tuition

CBSE Class 10 topper from Bihar, Sreeja, bagged 497/500 without any tuition. After she lost her mother at an early age and her father remarried, she and her sister were raised by their maternal grandmother and maternal uncles.
The CBSE result 2022 for Clsses 10 and 12 were released on Friday and girls perfromed better than boys in the board exams. One such girl is Sreeja, the CBSE Class 10 state topper of Bihar who bagged 497/500 or 99.4% marks.
After the death of Sreeja's mother Ruchi Soni when she was just five, her father left her and her younger sister and got married a second time. He never asked about the welfare of his daughters after that.
The two young girls were raised by their maternal grandmother Krishna Devi and maternal uncles, Subodh Kumar, Chandan Saurabh, and Sanket Shekhar, who all live in Patna.
Till Class 7, Sreeja studied in DAV Patliputra and in Class 8, she took admission in DAV BSEB located in Board Colony.
"Today, we are very happy, because my granddaughter's nae haas become famous. has made her name bright. The one who heard this news (Sreeja's father) must have felt how wrong he had done by leaving the children," said Sreeja's maternal grandmother Krishna Devi.
"We took care of the girls, and now my son-in-law will have to repent. The celebration that is happening today, it would have been at his doorstep, but it is happening at my door. Who will be as lucky as me?" she added.
The CBSE Class 10 topper from Bihar credited her maternal grandmother, maternal uncles and her school teachers for her success.
