Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will interact with members of the civil society at the Constitution Club in Delhi on August 22.
According to sources, Rahul Gandhi will discuss his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ at length with around 150 delegates- representatives from civil society, writers, and intellectuals at the Constitution Club meeting.
The party will also use this meeting to explain to civil society members what its ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is all about and how people can actively participate in it.
On August 23, Congress is planning to launch the logo, tagline, and website for ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ at AICC headquarters.
Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra will be launched on September 7 at Kanyakumari. It will be a 3, 500 km long, 150-day 'non-stop' padayatra. The padayatra will cover 12 states from across the country.
According to sources, Congress will finalise the route of its Bharat Jodo Yatra only after this meeting with the civil society representatives. "At present, there are seven probable routes.
These routes will also be discussed in this meeting on August 22 at Constitution Club. This will be a full-fledged padayatra," said a senior party leader.
