Rahul Dravid has inherited a great team, can only raise the bar for India in times to come, says Ravi Shastri

Outgoing India head coach Ravi Shastri said that Rahul Dravid, who will replace him in the position, won't inherit a team that has suddenly been put in transition as a number of senior players still have some years left in their career.

Rahul Dravid will inherit a great team when he takes over as India's head coach, Ravi Shastri has said. India play for the last time with Shastri as head coach when they face Namibia in their final Super 12 match of the 2021 T20 World Cup.

Shastri's contract ends after the tournament and it was announced earlier that former captain Dravid would replace him.
