Former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan is optimistic about the future of cryptocurrencies despite the uncertainty surrounding digital coins. The noted economist said cryptocurrencies have a “potential future” if they are regulated well. The 58-year-old noted economist also seemed optimistic about well-regulated stable coins, which are digital currencies linked to an underlying asset like currency or gold. He, however, called for appropriate regulations for such assets, as per the Reuters report.
