In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, actress Raashii Khanna shared her experience of working with Ajay Devgn in Rudra. The actress also revealed he has an intimidating aura.
Actress Raashii Khanna has made her OTT debut with Rudra: The Edge of Darkness. The web series, which also stars Ajay Devgn and Esha Deol, is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Rudra is an adaptation if Idris Elba's Luther, and while Ajay steps into the shoes of Elba, Raashii reprises Alice Morgan's role, played by Ruth Wilson in the original. Luther and Alice's equation on screen is unique, and the same is the case with Rudra. So, how was it like working with him? In an exclusive interaction with IndiaToday.in, Raashii reveals that she found Ajay Devgn a bit 'intimidating'. However, Ajay was also the one who broke the ice with her and made her comfortable on the sets of Rudra.
Excerpts from the interview:
Going down memory lane, Rudra actress Raashii Khanna recalled her first day of shoot with Ajay Devgn. "Ajay sir is like a raja (king). When he walks, he has this aura around him, which is intimidating. I remember I was very scared on the first day. And I was like, 'Oh my god! Our scenes are also such that the chemistry needs to work out'. So, we had to be comfortable, but then he is such a big star," said Raashii.
But Ajay Devgn was also the one who broke the ice. He sat with her and told her to rehearse the lines with him. "So, basically, he broke the ice with me. The first day was a very important day, since we were shooting my introduction scene, which was quite difficult for me. And he was fully supportive of me from the start. So, when I met him, I met a co-actor, not a superstar. After that, I was extremely comfortable working throughout the series. And he does that. He shines himself but he makes sure his co-stars also shine. And that, I think, is a great quality," added Raashii, before signing off.
Rudra premiered today, March 4, on Disney+Hotstar.
