R Madhavan responded to a fan who claimed the actor lost his house to fund Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The film marked his directorial debut.
R Madhavan made his directorial debut with Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The film, which saw a global premiere at Cannes 2022, released all over on July 1. The film garnered critical appreciation from all quarters and also fared well at the box office. Recently, a fan claimed that the actor lost his house to fund Rocketry. Madhvan was quick to reply to the tweet and refuted the claim.
R Madhavan’s directorial debut film, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, was a critical and commercial success. The actor played the protagonist in his maiden directorial project. Recently, a fan took to Instagram and claimed that Madhavan lost his house to fund Rocketry and helmed the film when the original director opted out of the project at the last minute. The fan also mentioned that the actor’s son Vedaant is winning medals for the country. Madhavan replied to the tweet and wrote that he hasn’t lost his house.
R Madhavan wrote, “Oh Yaar. Pls don’t over patronize my sacrifice. I did not lose my house or anything. In fact all involved in Rocketry will be very proudly paying heavy Income Tax this year. Gods grace We all made very good and proud profits. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is based on the life of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, who was falsely accused of espionage and tortured in custody. Apart from directing, Madhavan essayed the role of Nambi Narayanan in the film and won laurels for his performance. Simran, Misha Ghoshal, Ravi Raghavendra and several others played supporting roles in this biopic.
