R Madhavan was brutally trolled on social media for his claims on ISRO. During the promotion of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, the actor said that Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) used panchang to launch a rocket into space and reach the Mars Orbit.
R Madhavan was brutally trolled for stating that ISRO used panchang for its Mars mission. Reacting to IndiaToday.in's story, Madhavan wrote that he deserves this. "I deserve this for calling the Almanac the “Panchang” in tamil. Very ignorant of me. Though this cannot take away for the fact that what was achieved with just 2 engines by us in the Mars Mission.A record by itself. @NambiNOfficial Vikas engine is a rockstar (sic)," read his tweet.

R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect;s scheduled to release on July 1 in theatres. During a promotional event, Madhavan spoke about ISRO and their Mars Orbiter Mission. He claimed that it was Panchang, the Hindu calendar, which helped the national space agency for its mission to Mars.
The mission was launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on November 5, 2013, by PSLV-C25, which successfully placed itself into Martian orbit on September 24, 2014, in its first attempt.
