R Ashwin equals Richard Hadlee for most wickets in India-New Zealand Test matches

Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Ross Taylor on Day 3 of the 2nd Test between India and New Zealand which took his tally for matches played between the two teams to 65, which is equal to the haul that Kiwi all-round great Richard Hadlee managed.
Ravichandran Ashwin on Sunday equaled all-round great Richard Hadlee for most wickets in Test matches played between India and New Zealand. Ashwin dismissed Ross Taylor, thus taking his 65th wicket in the fixture. While Hadlee took 24 innings to reach the mark, Ashwin got there in 17 innings.
It was also Ashwin's 50th Test wicket this year, making him the first player to get to the mark. Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is closest to him with 44 wickets while the latter's team mate and fellow fast bowler Hasan Ali is third on the list with 39 wickets.
