Question his friends: Wife of man killed in Noida bar brawl
India Today
The woman said she found out about the incident when she called her husband's phone after he didn't return home until late last night. Those accompanying her husband or the police did not inform her.
The police should question the “friends of my husband who were with him that night”, said Pooja, the wife of the 30-year-old man who was thrashed to death by the bouncers of a bar inside Noida’s Gardens Galleria mall last night.
Pooja moved to Noida four months back with her husband Brijesh Rai and family. Brijesh, who is from Bihar’s Chhapra, got a new job that needed him to relocate.
On Monday night, Pooja called her husband as it was getting late and he was not home yet. However, the call was answered by Brijesh’s friends, who told her about the incident.
“Why did the friends not inform me? They had already taken Brijesh to the hospital. The FIR was registered on the basis of the statement of the friends who were accompanying Brijesh. They should be questioned,” she told India Today TV.
“I was not contacted by the police or any authorities about the investigation or to tell me about the incident,” she added.

On Monday, Brijesh Rai went to a party at the Lost Lemons Bar with his colleagues when an argument broke out over the bill. It soon escalated to a full-blown brawl, with the bouncers of the bar getting involved in the fight and fatally thrashing Brijesh on the head. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
