Tribune News NetworkDohaQatar Charity (QC), in collaboration with Qatar Academy Doha (QAD) under Qatar Foundation, distributed food baskets to 500 expatriate families affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, with the help of many QAD students and graduates.Farid Al-Siddiqi, head of Qatar Charityâs Local Projects section, praised QAD for its efforts to alleviate the suffering of low-income families, particularly during Ramadan, the season of giving and multiplying rewards. He also praised QADâs annual project, which aims to engage QAD students in community service and humanitarian work.He thanked QADâs management and students for their cooperation, emphasising that Qatar Charity has been working with various bodies in the country since the outbreak of the coronavirus to contribute to limiting the humanitarian crisis of the pandemic. He said that Qatar Charity provided food, health, and awareness-raising assistance to low-income families and workers in Qatar.Rola Abu Ramadan, an Arabic language teacher at QAD, expressed gratitude to Qatar Charity, adding that QAD students have been carrying out this project for the past 16 years. She also said that Qatar Charity has always been supportive of QADâs charitable endeavors.According to Abu Ramadan, the project aims to accomplish a number of objectives, including instilling in students the value of helping others, encouraging them to participate in volunteer and community activities, and encouraging them to give to and support those in need.More Related News
