Qatari mountaineer Sheikha Asma bint Thani Al-Thani has flown Qatar’s flag on Antarctica’s highest mountain peak.

In a new landmark achievement in women’s history in Qatar, Sheikha Asma skied approximately 117km to reach the South Pole and climbed Antarctica’s highest mountain - Vinson Massif.
