Qatari medical aid reaches India

Doha: A shipment of medical aid from the State of Qatar to the Republic of India arrived on Thursday at New Delhi airport on board Qatari Amiri Air Force aircraft to support India’s current efforts to address the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar said in a statement on its website that Qatari aid was received at New Delhi Airport by Director of the Gulf Division at the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India H E Avtar Singh; Acting Charge d’Affairs at the Embassy of the State of Qatar to India, Ali bin Mohammed Al Badi and Second Secretary, Rashid bin Ali Al Marri. The Qatari aid to India contained therapeutic drugs, medical devices, and various medical consumables, the most important of which are 4,300 Remdesivir for injection, 200 oxygen concentrators, and 40 ventilators.
